There’s a lot of emphasis on what you do, the money you make, the things that you have, your outward appearance to the world, or the culture you’re from, but not on what you are becoming. It’s not what you do that determines who you are, it’s who you are that determines what you do. Good works does not make a good man, but a good man will do good works. WHO ARE YOU BECOMING?
The life of a Christian – a believer in Christ – is not a practice of rules but a life that you are becoming. We’re not trying to be a better person. We are to become more and more like Christ, where we fully express the image and likeness of the Father in the world. This is where we find our value, our identity and our purpose. This is who we are to become. Who are you becoming… more like society around you, more like your culture, or more like Christ?
This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true GodJohn 17:3
